June 1: Children's shark bookmark craft-to-go kit
June 8: Bird BINGO STEM/STEAM to-go kit
June 10: Join Peggy Tucker on the library grounds for a "Music and Movement" program focused on young children. This is an outdoor event that will allow for social distancing. Please call 679-8484 for additional information.
June 22: Sign-ups for our summer reading program begin. We will be doing a hybrid program this year with READsquared as the virtual component and outdoor in-person programs that require sign-ups to prevent overcrowding.
June 24: Peggy Tucker presents: What's Inside a Flower? @11 am on the library back lawn.
Kits to-go will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, call to check availability if coming later in the week.

BYG Restart
Mr. Bunker was happy to welcome several new members of the Blaisdell Youth Group to a meeting and well-received game of Supersized Battleship on Wednesday, May 26. The meeting started outside on the back lawn but had to move inside when the predicted thunderstorm made its appearance. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 23 @6:30pm. Activity TBD. If you have a 5th - 8th grader looking for activities including life-size games, escape rooms, book suggestions and a fun place to hang out, get in touch with Mr. Dan Bunker @679-8484 and he'll be glad to fill you in. New members always welcome.

Thank You
Parks and Recreation and the staff of the Blaisdell Memorial Library would like to thank those who donated puzzles to our puzzle drive. We collected over 100 puzzles! Enough for distribution with some left over for swapping!
Our next outreach drive will be for local and homegrown flowers on July 19 and 20 for distribution on July 21. Collections will be accepted at the Rec office for these - they have more room than we do!
Thanks also to all the Friends of the Blaisdell Memorial Library who participated in our annual spring grounds clean-up day on Saturday, May 22. Your help is greatly appreciated. It's good to have Friends!
Thanks so much for your generosity and have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Liz Bolton, Director, Blaisdell Memorial Library
