Kelly Roberts – Town Clerk/Tax Collector 3 years

I am running for my second term as Town Clerk / Tax Collector. The past three years has been an amazing journey, which feels unfinished. I look forward to continuing to serve the residents of Deerfield, while improving and advancing services and processes, to make the customer’s experience as easy and pleasant as possible.

My two main goals for the next three years are to:

  1. Complete an extensive archival and preservation project of permanent town records that will not only protect fragile paper documents, but also catalogue them in a way that is user friendly and searchable.

  2. Transition our current platform for processing motor vehicles to a more modern platform that will provide better service to the customer, and better reporting for our accounting and reconciliations.

I am a member of the New Hampshire City and Town Clerk’s Association, New Hampshire Tax Collector’s Association, New England Association of City and Town Clerks, and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. I am currently serving as the 2nd Vice President for the New Hampshire Tax Collector’s Association. I am also a Rockingham County Coordinator for other tax collector’s in our county. I am a certified Town Clerk/Tax Collector. I graduated from the four year NHTCA/NHCTCA Joint Certification Program in 2016.

I have a deep commitment to serving this community, and take great pride in my work. Thank you for letting me serve you this far, and I ask for your vote again in June!

Cindy McHugh - Select Board 3 years

I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know that I will be running for re-election for the position on the Select board.

Our Family has been in town for the past forty years. I raised my children here and now they have decided to raise my grandchildren here. I have been involved though out the community and have seen many changes. Three years ago, I made the decision to run for the open position on the select board. I am very grateful, for the community’s support for that election.

I still think the most important part of my job is to listen to the community and their concerns. The job of the community is to bring those important issues and concerns to us, as a team we can work together to help solve those issues.

We face some huge challenges for the town. It is important to me to try and keep our spending to a minimum. But at the same time, we need to maintain and prioritize what our town wants and what are our town’s needs are. Keeping our towns resources (Transfer station, Police, Fire and Highway) and upkeep of buildings, roadways and departments up to date, can sometimes be a difficult task. I will continue to do my best for the community that I grew up in and love.

I would once again appreciate your support for the Select Board Position.
