Philbrick-James Library Reopening Plan

We look forward to welcoming patrons back into the library for IN-PERSON browsing beginning TUESDAY, JUNE 1.
In this initial phase of reopening, we will continue to offer PJL To Go (pickups on Wednesdays and Fridays) for anyone who wishes to use it. We will also have 2 options for visiting in person:

Appointments are a good option for those who wish to visit during peak times, have a household group that exceeds our walk-in max-capacity, or who prefer to plan their visit in advance.
Appointments will be available Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-7, and Fridays from 10-2. To schedule an appointment, please call 463-7187.

Walk-in hours provide patrons the opportunity to visit the library without a pre-scheduled appointment. To allow for social distancing, we can welcome up to 7 individuals (staff and patrons combined) into the library during our walk-in hours.
Walk-in hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-5 and Saturdays from 9-12. We also welcome you to use the walk-up window in the garden.

Current Procedures for In-Person Library Visits
Visitors must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth while inside the library. We have masks available for those who need one;
Please sanitize your hands upon entering the library with our automatic dispensers;
During walk-in hours, please limit your visit to 30 minutes;
Please respect social distancing guidelines when inside the library;
Please stay home if you or your household members are sick or are showing symptoms.
